From page 68-69 of the manual "GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver (Note 1) is a revolutionary technology that delivers unparalleled So it would look like the feature is only activated when the software is launched. Also according to the book all the other overclocking features(this includes cpu voltage) are still in the bios under MIT(after CTRL+F1 that is) You should always check out the manual for a board before you buy it anyway. (for me the America server is fastest followed next in line by Asia, but it changes allot. when in doubt try Asia first) Hope this helps EDIT____

I was wondering what would happen if the board was flashed to F7 bios from the GA-P35-DS3L? Dont do it because I said it. I am just thinking out loud.

The max FSB on that new egg review may have been related to a cpu limit. they do not even mention dropping the multi to rule that out. not do they mention increasing the north bridge voltage. They may have just had a bad board, My asus P5W could never get past 325 even though many did(well past), was just a bad(but you cant rma for poor overclocking) board. I am not ruling the energy saver out, but i wish someone had it to test. Message edited by nukemaster on 05-15-2008 at 03:05:40 AM ---------------

Disregard that note. I thought I was on to something, but it doesn't work that way. The only way is to reset the CMOS, then you can make your voltage changes.

Yeah, that board seems to have quite a bit of v-droop. For the rev 2.0 has less v-droop that the rev 1. --------------- E2180 @3.2Ghz + P35DS3L +8400GS (700/475 OC) ![]() |
