More Information

I have a ??? about the DFI LT X38 motherboard.... The Jmicron controller that control the 7-8 sata and pata (IDE 4 MASTER & IDE 4 SLAVE) if I happen to turn that off would it affect the bios detecting the optical drive on pata? twice I have a problem of the bios not detcting the optical drive and whenever I boot up on windows I will not have a cd/dvd rom at all.... The tech guy on DFI suggested to RMA but when I told him about the j-micron controller he has no idea whats up..... so I ask anybody who is familiar with the j-micron controller?

Thanks in advance....
