The motherboard was the only part of my build I wasn't sold on.

Q6700 - Tuniq Tower 120 - Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Compound
Abit IP35 Pro LGA 775
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB
Antec Truepower Trio 650W
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Radeon 3870
Case:  Cool Master RC-690-KKN1-GP (7 120mm Yate Loons, 1 80x80x15 Palamino) - Sunbeam Fan Controller
2 NEC 16X DVDRW Burners

Yes it will supports a single HD 3870
it will support 2 HD 3870 too but only @ 16x4x which isnt very good compared to dual 8x or dual 16x

The X2 was 2 HD 3870 on one card.  So it's slower then on a different motherboard?

afaik it should support it fine but I don't believe that those are in retail yet so there is no user feedback atm.
