More Information

This is an LG (GH22LP20) IDE drive, Lightscribe compatible, Master/Slave is set correct, the other drive on this IDE cable is fine, and the drive has no problem reading DVDs.

When I try to burn using Nero 6, even at 4x, as soon as the Lead In starts to write, the entire system freezes. Every single time. LG has an Auto Update firmware utility that isn't finding anything new, and the LG site doesn't show a firmware download for this drive (or anything else helpful).

A Nero testing utility also freezes the system, even with 4X / simulation settings. Suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks
