I havent a clue where in forum to post this so i thought this was the best place!! I want to learn how to password or eycrpt a file but every time i go into properties the eycpt box is greyed out untick??? and the compress is untick too but not greyed out. Im using Vista Home Prem 64 bit.

Just checked my own, it works fine. Maybe home premium doesn't support it? You'll know it's encrypted if the files are blue, if you didn't know

Are you sure the file you want to encrypt is on an NTFS partition and not FAT32?

Yes im on NTFS, mind you it RAID stripped, could that be a problem??

Na, you're RAID setup is actually irrelevant here. Are you using any compression on the drive?

Okay, it turns out you can only encrypt files in the Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate versions of Vista. http://www.jdenison.com/?p=337
