I have a network set up at home to run through an ethernet hub. This is also where I have the internet running through. I recently upgraded my mobo and now the internet is not working on my computer. I checked the network connections and it can connect to the network, but not the internet. Tried all three types of repairs vista uses (I am using Vista Home Business) and none of them worked. My bothers comp works just fine, and its hooked up the same way (only difference is his is an old dell on xp and mine is an almost gaming machine --I need a better graphics card-- and I'm on vista).

So my question is, is there a setting or something for me to change in vista to get this to work? Or if not that, does anybody know how to fix this?

If you need any other info please let me know.

Also, I'm at work for the next 8 hours so I won't be able to try anything till then, just trying to get ideas to fix it.

Go to your Network and Sharing center (right click the network icon on your desktop) and look at "Network" and see if its public or private. If its public change it to private with the customize link to the far right.
