More Information

I'm somewhat interested in RAID 0 as a little extra feature for my new gaming/general use build, and I'd like to hear some thoughts from owners of a RAID 0 array. If I were to create a RAID 0 array, it would likely be with two Seagate 7200.11 320GB hard drives, as they're relatively cheap and I won't need much space at all. What kind of speed benefits does RAID 0 offer over a single hard drive? Faster operating system and game loading times, correct?

And I'm also curious to know: What's a decent SATA RAID card that I could pick up on Newegg or another site? I'll be buying a DFI DK-X48 T2RS motherboard with onboard RAID, but I've heard that onboard RAID is very finicky and often not worth the trouble. However, if DFI's motherboards have good onboard RAID capabilities, I would be very willing to use it.

Thanks for any help that anybody here provides me.
