Its DX10.0, not 10.1 ! It would be a waste of your time to upgrade to this from an 8800GTS. Wait until Nvidia rolls out their 10.1 cards. ATI's upcoming generation will have 10.1 support along with UVD hardware support so Nvidia better step up their game with this "next generation". It does have excellent VP2 decoding abilities though. If you don't have an 8800GTS already then this would make a nice Christmas gift to yourself.
