More Information

i'm about due for a hard drive upgrade and i was wondering if anyone knows how much performance gain i will get with a RAID 0 setup on 2 spinpoint f1s with the mobo's raid controller (MSI K9N Neo -F(nforce550)).

my main objective is to obtain the highest read transfer rate because thats what we use most of the time.. i think. basically i'm looking for all round loading performance so i can load windows in half a second and load games in 1ms etc.

oh and i'm not prepared to fork out extra for a raid controller, hybrid or ssd. well maybe a raid controller if u can persuade me.

EDIT: Actually i had another look at the price tag and think i will stick with just 1 drive but comments are still appreciated.
