Could updating the BIOS for my motherboard mess up my RAID 0 array ???
(mobo raid of course) Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4

Updating the BIOS might disable it but I doubt if it will mess it up since updating the BIOS usually happens in DOS mode. Why? Are you thinking about updating your BIOS or have you already done so?

Should not bother your RAID setup.
After updated though, you will probably have to reset your BIOS options for Boot order, boot from RAID, etc.

WORD OF ADVICE HERE....
When it comes to updating your BIOS, the best thing to keep saying over and over and over to yourself is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Unless you need to update to fix a problem, and the update says it specifically WILL fix your problem, leave your BIOS alone.
Updating will do absolutely nothing for you. And if you mess up you now are the proud owner of a completely dead motherboard.

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking to do an update but I'll leave it alone for now cause it's working properly. I only wanted to know if ,in general, BIOS updating messes up the RAID arrays.
