More Information

I am looking to start over with a new computer and I'm thinking of getting the Intel Quad Core (Q6600) and the Asus P5K-SE...the reviews on the motherboard aren't that extensive but its in the price range I'm looking at. Any opinions?

I don't know how well they do overclocking the quad cores. I'd assume not having 8-Phase power may be detrimental to the power needs that the 4 cores have. That's more what I've heard from other people, as I have no experience overclocking Q series CPUs, personally. A Vanilla P5K, P5K E, or deluxe may be a safer bet in the case of your CPU. That said, I'm running a pretty hefty overclock on my E4400 with the SE, so maybe it is good enough after all...
