a amd 3500+ venice core
2 gb pc 3200 (4x512)
2x160 hdds
7600 gt xxx 650 core

The mobo everythings running on is a k8n neo4 msi platinum board.

Anyways im new at overclocking and need a little help.

First i went into the bios and pushed the fsb from 200 to 220 bringing my 2.2ghz cpu to a 2.4

When i ran 3dmark 06 or a game my pc freezes but when i turn it back to 2.2 its fine. Does anyone know anything else i should be adjusting or be doing to make it stable? Thanks

You could try to lower the multiplier(its the thing that says "10x"xxxxmhz" or some other number in your bios, it should be one the same page as the FSB is.

After you have done this, up the FSB quite abit, now you can push it to 2400 mhz, however this will stress your memmory even more, and i think that your memmory makes your PC freeze, to make this work better you will have to increase the voltage on your memmory, there should be a page where u can change your memmory's volume, try to do this in steps and benchmark after you have upped the voltage, if you take small steps it should NOT be possible to damage your memmory.

After you have upped the voltage abit, you can start OCíng the FSB again.

I hope this helps you OC'ing your cpu.
