Hi I have mount a new system, all new, my specs are Intel Core2Duo e4400 @ 2.66 GHz. 2GB DDR2 6400 running at 1064, 400 GB SataII Hard drive, a 8600GT and the SONY SATA DVD writer, my problem is that some times even B4 overclocking the drive worked fine but after some time using it it dissapear from the computer completely like if someone unplugged the cable, and the HDD lets becomes red like if it was doing something but everst reports that only 1% of both cores are in use and 10% of memory, I do not know what it could be the problem, or maybe because my mobo has only SATAII ports in one of these ports is conected this drive with a SATAII cable that came with the mobo, can anyone advice, I will really apreciate it, I am Running windows XP SP2

If it disappears its possible the drive is getting DC'd due to a bad cable or just a dirty plug.....try re-seating the plug...

Also check the even viewer and look for any reference to a drive being removed from the system....I had a hard drive do this and it was a cable....
