[#ff8d00]Hi, how much further can i go with overclocking an AMD 4600+ windsor. My current settings are as follows, Bus Speed 220, Multiplier 12, core voltage 1.344, and i have my ram running at 2.2v as suggested by the manufacturer.

I am currently getting 2.640mhz.

I have also overclocked my 2 7600GT sli's to 600/770 core and mem.

I have an Arctic colling Alpine 64 cpu cooler but intend to get something better, ie an arctic cooling freezer pro.

I am currently scoring 6112 on 3d mark 06 and 26000 in 3d mark 01.

Any help with overclocking this further would be really appreciated.

Id like realistically to get to 2.8ghz and unrealistically to 3ghz.

Thanks

I'll weigh in on this. I just ordered an X2 4600+ Windsor (65w) AM2, and I have the same question . . . how far can it go and remain stabile? Is it realistic to hope I might boost it from its stock 2400 speed to 2800?

Hi racingman24, it is an AM2 windsor. Presently been running at 2.64ghz, with a core voltage of 1.344, 12 multiplier and 220 bus speed with no prbs whatsever. Temps range from 35 idel to generally 45 under load and hits 52 when pushed in pcmark. The freezer pro should drop these temps further. I have not been able to recreate the 7600gt overclocks i originally got as i just get a lot of artifacting at 600/770.
