I have one sata hard drive when i check on bios it says

MASTER - CD DROM DRIVE

SLAVE - HARD DRIVE

why it saying my hard drive is on slave? supposed to be master.

you plugged the cd drive into sata port 0 or 1, switch it to 2 or 3 and the hdd to port 0 or 1.

i switch to what u mention now my SATA hard drive on master and CD ROM on slave.
