By status details do you mean where it displays the wireless options you could connect to?

I'm assuming you have the wireless switch on? Try right clicking the wireless icon at the bottom in the system tray and using the detect and repair function?

the area where it should display all wnc adapter info is empty... no mac address, ip, dns, etc. everything is empty... thanks for the reply...
