More Information

Hi guys, having an issue with overclocking with a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 motherboard and an E6600.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
GA-965P-DS3 Mobo Rev.1 F12 BIOS
nVidia 8800GTX 760MB
2 x 74GB WD Raptor RAID-0
2 x 1GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 800MHz RAM
Zalman CNPS 9700 HSF
Antec Nine Hundred gamer case.

I'm relatively new to overclocking and can just about reach 3.06GHz from 2.4, but it can get instable. I let the mainboard auto-handle the memory frequency increments and voltage increases as I manually increase the CPU bus speed. Anything really above that causes it to restart twice and defer back to 2.4GHz as it disables the manual CPU bus override.

Quite strange, but I suspect the mainboard isn't adjusting the voltages quite right. Tell me if I'm wrong though. But if this IS the case, what sort of voltage adjustments am I looking at? And if I'm wrong, what adjustments am I looking at?

Or is this a bug?

Best regards.
