Hi,

I am having some bother with my BT voyager 200 router. When i switch my pc on in the morning the router is unable to establish a connection to the internet. Even when i turn the router on and off at the switch it still can't connect. I end up having to unplug the ethernet and power cable from the router leaving it for 30 secs then plug them back in. It will then connect to the internet.

For the rest of the day it is fine, i can shut the pc down and restart it and the router connects everytime. It just seems to be in the morning after i have completley shut down the pc by switching the power off at the mains.

Does anybody know what may be causing this? It becomes extremely annoying.

I am running windows vista. I also had this problem on xp aswell.

Any help would be great.

Albo.

When you say 'mains' are you meaning the switch on like a surge protector?
Are you shutting off power to the computer, router and modem at night?
If so try leaving the power to the router and modem on and just turn off the computer normal.
