hey guys i bought a d link wbr 2310 router about a year ago and it was working fine till now, then suddenly a few days ago it stoped working. i tried unpluging the power and then re pluging it multiple times but no luck and then when i tried accessing the router it wouldnt let me. fed up with the problem i bought another one so id have internet for the time being but i just installed it and now my computer says it has a connection (tried both wired and wireless) but when i try to access the internet i get a no server found message. also network magic says i dont have a connection while my local connection says i do and even shows my ip and everything. ive tried hooking up the computer directly to the modem and the internet works fine so im guessing it must be the router.can anybody help me with this please its getting really annoying.

Make sure that you have configured the new router's ip and subnet correctly. The modem, router and computer must be on the same ip range. If the internet works fine when you plug the pc directly into the modem then the problem is most likely somewhere on the router. Does the pc have a static or dynamic ip?
