More Information

I'm looking into getting a NAS for my home network. I want to get something with RAID 5 for redundancy and write speed increases. I want the hard drives to be replaceable without costing an arm and a leg. I need a gigabit interface.

The size I'm looking into creating is 1 TB, this can be either product supplied or I can find the drives myself if I can find a hollow NAS.

A good 2+ year warranty is a large plus.

USB 2.0, firewire, extra USB ports for expandability and/or printers are preferred, but not required.

I was looking into spending around $300, but since reality hit me I'm willing to go up to $500 (1TB of drives included)

Mybook world edition is nice, but it won't let you share mp3s and movies on it. Some others have huge reliability problems, others still miss features I've listed, or they cost $800+, or some other problem.
