I am buying a PC from an online vendor the end of July. If they do not have the P35 chipset as an option; how much of a difference will it make with a Q6600?

Should I wait another month to get the P35 chipset as I will notice a big difference? This rig will have a 8800GTX on it and ONLY used for gaming.
