More Information

My Motherboard [Tyan K8WE (S2895)].has a built in Raid controller with 4 channels.
I am having trouble hooking up one of the SATA connectors to an eSATA drive.

3 out of the 4 controllers have disks on them. 2 disks are in a raid 0 array. a 300g in singile in JBOD configuration. -and the 4th drive is setup to connect to an eternal eSATA drive.

the eSATA drive will not apear in windows.
The drive works on other computers via eSATA.
During boot up it says "Detecting RAID Array for about 5 mins but never connects. Periodically i have switched it on and suddenly it works miraculously. But this is every 2 months on average.
