More Information

Ok...I need some help. I've always used the 360 wireless adapter because i didn't have ethernet ran in my house to where my tv etc is...same with my ps3. Recently did a little remodeling and decided to run some cat 6 from my office (where my router is) to my living room. I used keystones and wallplates to make the connection. So when i go to hook up my PS3 and 360 via ethernet I have a problem. Keep in mind this connection has one patch cable from 360 to wall and then another from wall in office to router...should be ok though. PS3 works fine no problems whatsoever, however on 360 i can log into live just fine but when i try to download anything it just sits at 0% forever. If i unplug any patch cable in the chain and then plug back in it starts to work fine. But if i turn the 360 off this same thing happens where i have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to download. The NAT is open and all of the connection tests work out fine. And like i said it connects to live fine and i can browse marketplace etc. I know its not live because it works perfect when i use my wifi adapter. I've also tried different patch cables.

The final weird thing is that the PS3 works on all of the cat 6 runs i made and the 360 does this on any of the ports. So does that mean its some setting that needs to be changed for the 360 or that its nic card is more sensitve to packet errors or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to go back to wireless
