I have two computers a XP Pro Desktop and a XP Home Laptop and I want to shared documents between them. Both computers connect wireless to the internet through my router and have no problems there. I have set up file sharing and have shared folders. The Desktop can access the laptops shared folders the laptop in general but the laptop cannot access the Desktop and sometimes it can't even access the workgroup but all the time the Desktop can access the laptop. Any idea what's up here?

sounds like the firewall on the desktop is blocking the laptop

What would I tell the firewall (its Mcafee) to do? Is there a specific port I need to open or something like that?

OK never mind I got it, it was the firewall, I had not checked to open the file sharing port, geeze I feel stupid but thanks a lot!
