Hewlett-Packard today announced the availability of color Lightscribe CDs, which join the plain grey etching on a gold background. The labeling is still a monochromatic process, but can now be applied to discs with red, orange, yellow, blue and green backgrounds. Read more

I have my settings at "best"and the image is so faint I can barely see it. I have the inexpensive Samsung but do not recall the model number.

Is it supposed to be so faint?

I agree w/ Chicago. I have a lightscribe and the enhanced contrast utility will definitely improve the image quality of your burnt discs. (But they will also take more time to burn.)

I set the contrast to darkest, and the quality to "best" inn Nero, but the quality still stinks.

Oh well...I'll just use a pen.
