i have a 650i ultra motherboard it only says 10/100 not 1000 mb/s
so i bought an 1000mb/s etherent adapter because i have a wireless  n netgear router
i have the ethernet adapter detected but i still can't get 1000mb/s

Does the router support gigabit ethernet? Both ends have to if you want to get a gigabit connection.
