More Information

Right, a couple of months ago I went out and bought a Belkin Wireless range extender because my overall wireless coverage wasn't good enough for internet access downstairs - it worked, but internet was slow and signal was always on a constant 'low signal'.

Anyway, I got this extender and it worked wonders, but my internet kept cutting out, even on my wired connection! It just totally cut out my net. I got a new modem through my ISP because I thought this was the problem, and for a couple of days it worked, then as usual it cut out.

I wasn't happy.

Anyway, my Dad decided to just unplug the extender (btw we had tried the extender in different locations) and from that day onwards the wireless internet has been as fast as my wired connection, anywhere in the house, even my garage!

But my laptop says the signal is low or good.

I just don't get it! I haven't changed anything on my router (Belkin G+ Mimo) and i haven't changed the position of the router itself or the antennas!

Im baffled!

Any ideas whats happened?

Im running windows xp pro on all my computers.

Cheers,

Nickolie :D
