Hello all I have a question. My dad is sending me a laptop that he has been using since he is getting a new one. I have a Nintendo Wii and a Nintendo DS that I can connect to via wireless and with a buffalo router. All is good there. I can sit just outside in the back and still can get connected via ds. My question is if I want to boost the signal strength and not buy a new router, what can I get? How does the wifi extender work that you plug into the wall?

Also will any wifi extender work with any wireless router....

Also do research on wireless repeaters. They can help extend range/ get through tricky spots.
