Newegg order on Wednesday - stuck at 40% processed

Forum Opinions and Experiences : Computer Shops Newegg order on Wednesday - stuck at 40% processed

I placed my 2nd order on Wednesday at 2am pacific time and it has been stuck at 40% processed since Wednesday afternoon. I emailed them Friday morning and I got no reply so I chatted with them Friday afternoon and he said that I passed the credit check and now they need to verify my address and that he would add rush processing to my order. They managed to get my first order shipped within 24 hours no problem but this one is taking a lot longer. I also don't want to have it voided because the hard drive I have in this order has gone up in price by a little under 60%.

Looks like since my shipping and billing address are different Newegg won't ship this order even though they shipped my lasst order just fine to the same address. Looks like I'm buying from tigerdirect.

Will TigerDirect ship to an address different from the billing address?

My most recent order (RAM) from Newegg was ordered on December 26, 2011 and delivered on December 30, 2011 - the standard shipping; which in this case was UPS_MI.

Over the past two years, Newegg has fulfilled over 40 separate orders without failure.

It is important to have the same shipping and billing address for a smooth transaction. Red flags are raised when these two addresses are not the same, in order to prevent ever increasing incidences of fraud.

My personal experience with online merchants is that whenever expedited shipping or expedited anything is selected, unforeseen problems occur. I stick with standard shipping, and then the order goes through the normal channels that are more familiar to the merchants.

I am just sharing my methodology with Newegg and other online merchants. This way the probability of failure is greatly reduced.
