More Information

ABIT KN8 SLI mobo.
Just upgraded to a BFG GeForce 7600 GT OC PCI Express 256MB

Internet was always working fine on XP. Now,right after installing card, drivers- internet doesnt work.

I checked device manager>Adaptors> it only shows 1394 (firewire). No other adaptors are listed.

Light is on when I plug in ethernet cable to the onboard nic port. So, nic should be active. The only local area network connection shown is for 1394. My other Local network is gone. PC is connected to router. My 2nd pc has internet just fine on same router.

So - It looks like the card knocked out the connection. Im going to re-install the nic drivers again. But - since the device doesnt even appear in windows with an ! point - dont think it will work. My next option is to install a old pci nic card. Hopefully either drivers or pci nic card will prevent a format.

Any ideas? Thanks.
