As some people have suggested, I put a PCI fan blower behind my 8800GTS and my idle-load temps are 48-65 tops (depends on the game, CoH puts the temp in 65). Also I run with the fan @ 100%. But I guess you are in the normal range of operation.

If you want to lower temps... install Rivatuner and adjust fan speed.

I have my adjusted at 100% all the time and when the system restarts it keeps the settings at 100% fan speed.

i third(or is it 4th) the previous statements. I have an 8800GTS that i OC'd to 650Mhz and 1.9Ghz, and my temps were in the 80-85C range with no artifacting.

as a side note, the stock drivers were still running the fan at 60% at this temp, I got riva tuner with the idea of getting it to run at 100%, but, for some reason, it will not set the fan to max speed, I had to use ntune to get the fan to max out, but it only allows up to 99% fan speed. after I got the fan to run faster, my temps dropped down to about 70C under load, and mid to high 50s when idle.
