I just bought a Shuttle DB61G2 from one of the forum members here and I'm having a bit of a problem.  The machine has no OS but is 100% intact other than that with a 120G SATA drive and 512M of memory.  I've tried to install either Windows 2K Pro or Windows XP Home for the past five nights and it never gets beyond the boot screen, giving me this message:
 
Verifying DMI Pool Data........................................
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
 
My cds are genuine Microsoft hologram cds with COAs.  It doesn't have a floppy drive just a CD drive.  So I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to force-feed the OS CD to this puppy?  I would really hate to have to bring it to a computer shop and pay $75 to have them install a OS using my CD.

OK, what I did was go back into the BIOS and set _all_ boot options to CD-ROM.  Then I rebooted and it accepted the WXP Home CD, and installed... or at least it was 80% done when I left the house lunchtime.  I'll check it when I get home and make sure its 100% and then set the BIOS to boot from the HDD.  It took 27 actual tries to get the right combination.  Setting it to boot first from the CD and disabling the 2nd/3rd options or any combo of those two didn't work, plus I must have tried W98, W95, WME, W2K, and WXP.  I thought maybe my older MS CDs were scratched or whatever, but it finally seemed to like the final combo.  Going to have to check and see if the BIOS is current, and whether it needs upgrading to a newer version.
