Forum Windows 95/98/ME : General Discussion Abit KT7 + Radeon SDR + W98se

My system is:

AMD TB 850MHz
Abit KT7-RAID
Ati Radeon SDR 32Mb

This system was originally built with GeForce 2 MX, but when I installed W98se (or ME) error message popped up. It's about display adapter witch resources conflict with ACPI motherboard extensions. The problem disappeared when I changed display card to Ati. But now I'm installing the system from begin again because of instability, and when w98se started the second time (this is when it finds display adapter) the problem came back.

The conflict can't be avoided by setting adapter manually (not possible) and there's no way to disable ACPI from BIOS (?).

It was interesting to notice that this problem doesn't appear at all in w2k pro.

Could the motherboard be damaged in some way?

Thanks.

ps. if some other devices could cause this ask my components.
ps2. is 250w power supply too small for this system?

Hmm... The problem could be caused by a device in the top-most PCI slot, since it shares some resources with AGP port. You could try to move the device (if any) to an other slot and leave the top-most PCI slot un-used. This might help.
