I am trying to buy or borrow an installation disc for a maxtor One Touch II as I bought a demo model without disc. Can anyone help?

Not here. You may need to contact Maxtor (or their local service agent) directly.

Although strictly it should just behave like a normal USB external... unless you are using windows 98 or something.

And there is nothing wrong with using Windows 98, hell, *I* only stopped using 98 when the local price of USB-driven PLC programmers dropped.

Try taking this one up into one of the software sections, since down here things get very unpleasant very fast, and the likelihood is greater that you will find help due to higher traffic.
