Buy hard disk components

Hello,
I need components for 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 inch hard drives and tools to repar them. For example, that tool to detatch the arm from a large hard drive and then replace it, and also a torque screwdriver.
Any ideas?

Here is my answer, others may have their own ideas of what you can do for less money.

To repair hard drives is not an inexpensive venture, if you are going to do it right.

You'll need to replace the stack on a drive someday so you'll need tools to do that too.

You just can't pop open the cover on a hard drive and do surgery at the kitchen table. You need a portable clean room. You can buy one new, ready to go for about $3,000.00 (24 inch) or buy the filter only and build your own work hood/room saving a lot of cash.
