Site unavailable causing me to lose typed message

Forum Site Feedback : Website Opinions Site unavailable causing me to lose typed message

Word :    Username :

I just spent 10 minutes typing a thread and when I posted it, the "site unavailable" message appeared causing me to lose all that was written. This is probably the only site not to save the contents of a form in case there was a need for it to be resent.

Tom's isn't the only site where this happens and sometimes, it's down to your own Internet connection.

It is, however, your own fault if it happens more than once because you can always clipboard what you've written every sentence or so, to make sure you don't have to write it all again.

If my reply is long, I work around this issue by typing it in MS Word and then copying and pasting it to Tom's. This has worked well for me.

One that comes to mind is my procedure for polishing (lapping is the wrong word) heat sink bases resulting in lowered temps.

I get the same message a couple of times a month!
