Is it possible to add a number tag to the posts inside a thread, so opening post have a little 1 and second post have a little 2 etc so that we can reference by post number instead of using quotes?

Worthy of consideration for adding actual numbers to posts, but you can reference individual posts in code in your follow-ups by linking to the date link in each individual post. For instance, yours says 08-30-2011 and the link there is http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] re#t492252
The #t492252 is the specific post number, so in a long post you can link to individual replies.
