Pit the 1155 v 1366 using GTX 580s non-SLI/two-card SLI and 6970s non-crossfire/crossfire in combination with both chipsets. CPUs 2600k i7 960 Don't go with the more expensive 970+ CPU for the 1366, because we should compare CPUs near the same price point. CPUs should be run at stock speeds. This should not be an article about overclocking/overclockability. Are chipset deficiencies keeping the performance of the 1155 chipset down? Is the 1155 "for real" with regard to the enthusiast build? Is the 1366 chipset superceded by the 1155? Benchmarks to include fps in BC2, Crysis 2, Hawx 2, Metro 2033, Rift, WOW, StarCraft 2, Unigine Heaven, etc... All the questions above will be answered.
Good idea... I have a feeling your might be seeing something very similar to this in the coming days from Tom's... It is a good / interesting topic!! Just got a feeling
Good suggestion. Will pass it along to our editorial team.
Great! I'll look for this to maybe happen! I guess the CPUs could at least be OC'd to the same level too if it would tell a better story regarding the architecture?
Keep your eyes on the site this coming Monday and Tuesday. You'll have all you want and more.
Excellent.
I would say 4/12 or sooner.. If I would have to guess, as your said
Here is the article jpishgar and I were referring to: http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] ,2910.html
