Both are toledo cores. Anyone know if the 4400 will hit just as high of a frequency as the 4800 overclock vs overclock?

Just higher multiplier to play with if you have an underperforming (*hint hint*) mobo.

Both will reach just below 3Ghz on air with luck.

The 4800 has the higher multiplier?

I’m finding 2500MHz to be a wall with a VCC of 1.45V on my new X2 +4400, I can go higher but I don’t know if the higher temps and VCC needed is worth it (1.5V @ 58-60c). But I’m still slowly working my way up to 2600MHz.

I'm the same. X2 4400+ @ 2.475GHz without any voltage increases on air, but scary enough temps on load to not put it any higher. (By scary I mean 55ºC in the summer - generally AMDs shouldnt go above 60)

I have a 4400+ and I can get it to 2.5ghz at 1.475v. But to get to 2.6ghz I have to run it at 1.55v. I would go for the 4800+ you have a higher multi and you are running 2.4ghz at stock. The chips are the same, the 4400+ is at 11 multi and the 4800+ is 12 multi. I would think you could get a higher clock out of the 4800+.

Thats exactly where I am with my new X2 4800 but I am on air! Using the Artic Freezer Pro 64 and my temps at this speed are 35c idle and 47c load. 8)

I've hit 2.8GHz on my X2 4800+ but I don't like having my CPU voltage that high when the performance difference is so small.

You did remember to pull off at least one Bungholiomark at that speed didn't you? That's what 1.75-1.80V on Toledo are for.

Hmmm, I hope you would not have to run 1.75-1.80V to get to 2800ghz with your X2 4800 8O

I have mine stable with only 1.475V at 2800Ghz.

I forgot to check how many Bungholiomarks I could get. :(
