Suggested Changes:

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon X1900XT <--- $40 cheaper, better brand name, and no performance loss.

Motherboard: Asus M2N-E <---- Why were you getting an SLI board and an ATI video card.....?

Power Supply: Antec Truepower 550W <--- 550 is all you will need for this.

DVD Burner: NEC ND-3550A <--- This is all you will need. There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER to get a second optical drive.

Edit: Better yet.... get a Core 2 system if you were planning on spending that much on a motherboard and CPU in the first place. Appending to my suggested changes above:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 $215

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 $144.99

The 3800+ has a much better price/performance notch in the AMD range (around $150 vs $200 for the 4000+).

I agree with Prophecy that you should get a Core 2 system.

Oh and 975 has nothing to do with AMD, and for the record it rocks.
