The Windows XP device manager shows that the onboard IDE controller is
using PIO mode for the the hard drive even though it is set for use DMA
if possible. If I enable IDE busmastering in the BIOS the system does
not even recognize the IDE drive as a bootable disk. I am running the
latest BIOS. Is this normal?
