I hope someone here can tell me how to best upgrade my current single drive
(wd1200jb) to a raid 0+1 setup (mirror + stripe), with 4 1200jb's. I don't
want to lose anything.

It really can't be done, your going to have to remove all important
data off your hard drive before you start. When you set up the stripe
part of the array all information on the drive would be lost.

You could Ghost it to cd/dvd, but don't forget to add the drivers for the
controller first.

PS:

If your running XP you could also sysprep it first and reseal it to reset
HAL....
