They use to be junk. Have they improved and gotten better than Soyo Dragon
boards, which I current have?

I have two ECS mobos. ECS does play at the low end, so I wouldn't expect all the bells and whistles that you would normally be accustomed to on an EPOX or MSI mo bo.

What's more important is the quality of assembly/components and how well the board is designed. In this regard, I would say ECS is adequate and reflects a product of this price range. I would say that the value is somewhat equal to a Dell mobo, although the design is not as refined.
