I have a 10,000 rpm Raptor drive attatched to the onboard sata
controller on a ECS 755-A2 motherboard. I have run benchmark speed
tests on this drive using various tools. The raptor drive seems to be
running a lot slower than the previously installed Ultra ATA drive.
Have have tried the latest drivers form both ECS and SIS without
success (Drive has been tested on seperated system without issues).
Any ideas?

I too have a Raptor on my 755-A2. Mine works quite well. Are you using it as a system drive or extended? Raid?

I've been having severe problems getting any SiS southbridge SATA to run more than about 35MB/s I've tried several boards and several drivers, I believe the answer is SiS SATA controller suck.
