I recently flashed my l7s7a2 bios with a different version than what it was
supposed to have, which was the 2/27/03 release version. Not sure what
version I flashed it with to mess it up. Now my computer wont boot at all.
Is there any way i can re-flash it to the correct version, or will I have to
hot swap bios chips to get it to work?

cpu: Athlon 3000+
ram: 512 mb DDR 2400
GeForce4 440
80 gb HDD
52x CDROM drive
on board sound, LAN

You cannot flash it back.
You could try to find someone who has the knowledge and the material
to reprogram the bios chip...
That will cost you.

I was having problems with my L7S7A2 and tried different (but
sopposedly correct) bios incl Cheepoman. Having not cured the problems
I tried another bios (supposedly correct still) and the mb died. A
local dealer had a whole load in stock cheap so I bought another one
which worked straight out of the box, the old one I have put down to
being a dud.

so I thought you flashed with the wrong version. But now this seems

This is even more confusing. You weren't giving me a hard time but
Mike.

It can be difficult with L7S7A2 mbs. Sandra shows the bios as being a
1.0 which I believe never existed "in the wild" and that all of them
are 1.1s. The one that seems to have killed my old board was off the
same Web page as the Cheepoman. It may not be the fault of that bios I
suppose. The old board could never make the card reader work yet the
new one did. The performance of the new board is superior to the old
one. Having said that, I'll give that particular bios a wide berth,
especially as the exceptional Cheepoman one is available. He also has
a memory hack for that bios which is supposed to up performance
greatly. Has anyone here tried it?
