Ancient history CT-7AIV2 processor speeds

Only seems like yesterday that I built a system with one of these and just
a 750MHz Duron processor. I've since managed upgrade to a 1GHz Athlon
T'bird but a recently downloaded manual (thanks to http://mobokive.dyndns
..org/Archive/) suggests 950MHz as the fastest supported processor.

Anyone successfully managed to install anything faster?

I've an XP1800 athlon but am reluctant to try it w/o more info.
