Can anyone recommend a small hardware firewall for home use (I've got
two machines, a Mac and an old Wintel machine, but am planning to get a
new one with XP on it. Panicking already.

Both machines are already behind a small router with firewall
capabilities (port blocking, stateful inspection, etc.). Router is an
Asante. So, I'm wondering if a hardware firewall added to the mix will
do much for me or just complicate my life unneccessarily.

i don't know if you need them. for most home use, the f/w built into
popular routers is enough.
