Hello,
(I've found this message in alt.sys.pc-clone.compaq archives).
I'm searching for solution for exactly the same problem as
nsprakel@hotmail.com have. I have Compaq DeskPro EN PIII 1.0 Ghz with;
Windows 2000 (polish version) with SP4.

In background runing:
- McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 7.1.0
- Zone Alarm 5
- SkyPe 1.0.0.29
- Gadu-Gadu 6.0 (something like skype but without voice)

Best regards Schoeni

Hi I raise my hand with somewhat a similar issue

My machine:
*Compaq SP700
*Processor: Pentium III Xeon
*Memory: 2 Dimms 512 MB
*OS: Windows 2000, Sp3

Startup software:
*Webroot Spysweeper
*Adaptrec Direct CD
*memTurbo
*Norton Antivirus
*Adaptec Direct CD Wizard
*Matrox Quickdesk
*Sidewinder Game Controller

The Facts (why my computer freezes):
*When I work on renders, and autocad or 3d Studio Max orr photoshop
*When I play Mp3 files from Winamp 2.6

Other knowin issues:
*I have a 3Com 56K modem which I found to cause the Blue Screen of Death
sometimes when I open any Internet explorer page (hell yes! and then the
computer boots up)

I am still clueless for this issues but I leave you group with this inquiry
iif someone knows a way to decypher this issue!

Thanks,

Juan Pablo
