More Information

I have a SMC 8041TX V.2 NIC that I had been using in an old Gateway PIII Solo 5300 under Windows 98SE. The machine did not have the usual internal NIC. This worked OK.

I upgraded to Windows XP home and I can no longer get the NIC to work. I uninstalled it, downloaded the newest driver from the SMC website & reinstalled with no success.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
