Hello, I have been playing Skyrim flawlessly on my BRAND NEW 360 S. As of a few days ago, it'll load normally, but right before I enter the actual game, the disc stops spinning and my xbox freezes. Is there anything I can do, or do I have to take it in?

Does this only happen with Skyrim? It could be a faulty disc

New disc, but it's possible.

scratches on the disk, fingerprints on the disk, dust in the bay, mechanical malfunction. Either of those could be the reason

I checked the disc, it seems fine. I blew out the bay as well, I'm thinking it's a mechanical problem.

you can try taking it apart and taking a qtip and rubing the laser.

try installing to hdd first, then if that doesnt work if its under warrenty send it back usually take 2-3 weeks to get back if its not under warrenty take it apart clean it undo and redo all the wires
